Expert Lead Generation

A New Webcast Series

November 10, 2010 at 8:30 am by Blair

December kicks off a new series of webcasts on Expert Lead Generation - the speaking and writing activities that position you as an expert in your field and drive in-bound inquiries to you.

December's webcast is the first of a two-part webcast on speaking (Driving Leads Through Public Speaking) but it's the one in February that I'm most excited about and want to talk about here.

Write The Book! is the topic of February's webcast and it's bringing a bit of a format change. I'll spend the 60 minutes facilitating a discussion between four agency principals who have written books on their area of expertise. They'll share with you the inspirations for their books, their trials in writing and getting published, and they'll talk about the impact their books have had on their businesses.

Meet the Authors

Marc Friedland is founder and creative director of Creative Intelligence in Los Angeles, where he is invitation and event designer to Hollywood celebrities. Marc is the veteran author of our group, having published his book Invitations (Clarkson Potter, 1998) twelve years ago.

Robbin Phillips is a new author. Her book, co-written by some of her teamates at Brains On Fire in Greenville South Carolina, is called Brains On Fire: Igniting Powerful, Sustainable Word of Mouth Movements (Wiley, 2010).

Sarah Durham's book Brandraising: How Non-Profits Raise Visibility and Money Through Smart Communications (Jossey-Bass, 2009) has been out for about a year. Sarah runs non-profit specialist firm Big Duck in New York City.

David Weigelt is a partner in Immersion Active, a web marketing firm that works with those selling to the over-50 market. His book, coauthored with business partner Jonathan Boehman, is Dot Boom: Marketing to Baby-Boomers Through Meaningful Online Engagement (LINX, 2009). It's been out for almost two years. Immersion Active is based in Frederick, Maryland.

Together these authors represent a spectrum of specializations and perspectives across time. I'm looking forward to asking each of them - how did they do it, how has it affected their business and what tips do they have for aspiring agency principal authors? They'll take your questions as well.

Further webcasts in the Expert Lead Generation series will include outside experts covering such topics as seminars, branded studies and online video.

Win Without Pitching webcasts are $99 each, or free with an annual membership to the Online Learning Center.
